Election in your cooperative is coming up and you need to comply with this training requirement to qualify in future elections as a director or officer of your cooperative. Non-compliance with the required trainings shall be considered grounds for disqualification for future election or appointment until such time that he/ she has complied with all the trainings required for the position under Sec. 6 Rule 7 of the IRR of the Cooperative Code effective June 15, 2010.

Lecturer: Atty. Niel Beni-Oni A. Santillan is the Executive Director of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) from 2003 up to the present. His experience spans a total of 19 years in the organization both as a regulator and an educator to many cooperatives in helping them comply with its regulatory requirements in order for them to continue to enjoy the many incentives available for cooperatives. His advocacy is growing the cooperative movement in the Philippines as model of development and growth for the country and its economy.

He obtained his bachelor of laws degree from the University of the Philippines (1984). He is a career service professional CESO V.
